 953 -2012 USA – Fue un grupo vocal estadounidense de R&B. Formado por Marvin Junior, Verne Allison, Johnny Funches, Chuck Barksdale y Michael y Lucius McGill, bajo el nombre de El-Rays.  Lanzaron su primera grabación en 1954 y dos años más tarde tuvieron su primer éxito de R&B con «Oh What a Night». Después de disolverse debido a un accidente automovilístico casi fatal en 1958, la banda se volvió a formar en 1960 con Funches siendo reemplazado por Johnny Carter. Esta formación permaneció unida hasta la muerte de Carter en 2009.  En 2004, los Dells fueron incluidos en el Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll y en el Salón de la Fama del Grupo Vocal. El grupo actuó hasta que una enfermedad obligó al cantante Marvin Junior y al bajista Chuck Barksdale a retirarse, poniendo fin a la carrera de 60 años del grupo.
